Shoegnome Work Environment for Archicad 26

What’s changed in my Archicad 26 Work Environment?

Basically nothing since my Archicad 25 Work Environment. I’m really happy with my current Work Environment and after over two years of using more or less the same WE, I have yet to find changes I want to make. I migrated everything from Archicad 25 to 26, made sure it all worked properly, and tweaked the Attributes Palette in the top right corner of the screen. I removed the Operation Profiles and MEP Systems from the palette because I never use them. I added the Attribute Palette button (the new baby sibling to the Attribute Manager). One of the nice things about the new Attribute Palette is that, if you double click on an Attribute in the palette, the corresponding dialog box will open. So on the off chance I need Operation Profiles or MEP Systems, I can open the Attribute Palette, double click on the necessary Attribute and get to the Operation Profiles or MEP Systems. Anyways, I think that’s literally all I changed between Archicad 25 and 26.

As a reminder, just because the Work Environment is similar from 25 to 26 doesn’t mean you can just import my (or your) Archicad 25 WE. If you do that, you’ll loose a few minor things that were added to menus and default palettes. As always you need to rebuild your Work Environment every version (which is what I usually do) or you need to carefully add in whatever changed between versions when you migrate your WE to a new version (which is what I did this year).

If you aren’t sure how to import a Work Environment into Archicad, don’t worry, I did a blog post and video on that. Click here.

03/06/2023 Update:
Do you use Windows instead of macOS? I’ve got a version of my Archicad 26 Work Environment with updated Keyboard Shortcuts (and some minor menu fixes) that align with Windows standards. Link above.

I’ve completed my Archicad 26 template. It’ll be ready to share in a week or two once I finish testing it, and once Madeleine has time to edit an accompanying video. Hello Shoegnome

You make mention of the US library being available to download – is there a page on your site or a link i’ve missed to find it? Or maybe i would need to download t directly from Graphisoft?

Thank you for your open template and sharing insight, Rgds Andreas (France)
